Transformer from a Citroen C2

A few guys in China (must be ultimate transformer fans) build an actual sized transformer like robot based on a Citroen C2 car. It stands 14 feet tall and weighs in about 600 Kilos. The total project cost them around $8,000 (USD). Transformer fanatics!

Hello Kitty Craze

Who would have thought a simple cute cartoon kitty with a bow on the ear would turn out into a multi-million merchandise ?! This is something I found while surfing on the web and saw this blogger's site that is just full of hello kitty stuff. The worst part is that he isn't a hello kitty fan, his wife is. He named his blog site, Hello Kitty Hell.

I bet most of you will have heard and seen the Hello Kitty exhaust. Yes, it is available here in Malaysia and there have been car owners that are a huge fan of Hello Kitty.

However this is something new to me, it's called the Hello Kitty Rims. I'm guessing a must to all Hello Kitty fans out there who owns a car. It has different Hello Kitty expressions on the spokes of the rims, aww.. aren't they just cutee... Scroll down to view the pictures.

P.S. - Kassie darling, the answer is NO, I wont be putting Hello Kitty Rims on my Honda Jazz. I'd rather take the bus. You can put it on your car if you like, but not mine!

Whiten your teeth with iPod... WHAT!!?

Yup, you saw correctly there. Now you can whiten your teeth while listening to your iPod. Huh? What? was the same expressions coming out of my head when I saw this article.

All you need to do is apply some peroxide strips on your teeth, place the mouthpiece into your mouth, turn on your ipod and start listening to your favourite tunes. The way it works, is from the music vibrations that transmit through your bones. By listening to 30 minutes of music you'll find a whiter set of teeth. iWhitening? Weird.... but cool if it really works. Hahah listen to music and get whiter teeth. Weee Hee.. say bye bye to coffee or cigarette stains.

The New HONDA JAZZ / FIT

All New Honda Jazz (Pictures leaked)

The new Jazz or Fit (is how they call it in Japan) pictures have been leaked. Sources said that the new Jazz will have a longer base thus a slightly larger interior space compared to the current one. It will be fitted with the iVtec 1.5 liter to give it reasonable power but very economical fuel consumption.

The new Honda Jazz will be shown at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show and perhaps we might able to get more specifications on it.

I would reckon it will reach our shores sometime end of 2008 or early 2009, since it was not long ago that we had the facelifted Jazz. Soon it will be the Honda City, as it was just recently given yet another minor facelift.

When I was previously working with DRB-HICOM, I heard that normally once car manufacturers starts to do minor facelifts to their existing models, you may prepare yourself for a new model around the corner. This strategy is to try and push out its current models faster before the new one arrives. I guess its to make up the numbers before they have to discontinue that model, to have a better ROI? Hmm not exactly sure how their strategies work, but its a good example. Take the Toyota Vios for instance, it was facelifted late 06, early 2007? and now rumours have it that the new Vios will be launching soon (October maybe?)

Anyway enjoy the pictures of the new Jazz below and do let me know what do you think about it.

Gavin's Wedding Dinner

It's a small world afterall @ Gavin's Wedding Dinner

It was a Sunday evening and I had to attend the wedding dinner of my girl's former classmate, Gavin and his beautiful wife Jing Jing.

Arrived early around 6.30pm - ish and had to wait for Kassie's friend. She have to help them with make-up. I went up to the cocktail area and started to make myself at home with the free flowing of liquour there. The smell of brandy and whiskey is hard to resist. You wouldn't guess who I met there, it was my colleague and the bestest pal of mine, Kenric.

We got ourselves some drinks, he introduced some friends, and we guys chatted away while our better halves were busy either helping out with the wedding or around somewhere socialising. Managed two glasses of brandy before the guests were ushered in the hall for the dinner.

It was a lavish wedding dinner setup, they brought in an MC, entertainers, etc. Food wasn't that great, it was hotel food so not expecting much. They got Joanne Kam Po Po as the entertainer for the night and it wasn't great nor was it bad, it was just dirty jokes. Surprised she took some swipes on KL girls (with 80 % of them from KL).

The night ended around 11pm and enjoy the pictures below.

Subaru Justy or Perodua Myvi?

There's just no stopping this super little mini car. First it was Daihatsu Boon and Toyota Passo, followed by our very own Perodua Myvi and now it has infected the guys at Subaru. The picture you see is called the Subaru Justy, look awfully familiar doesn't it? Just go out to any street now and you'll probably see one. You can hardly miss them, they are all over the place.

Subaru unveiled this car during the Frankfurt Motor Show this week and boy did we get a shock. According to Subaru, the Justy will only come in a 1.0 liter engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. We probably wont be seeing this at our shores, as I heard it will only be sold for the european market.

Just thinking how many more milk can they squeeze from this cow. I think the best ROI car ever.

Hmm.. I guess there will be new opportunities for Car accesories shops to make some money from those who want to convert their Myvi's to a Justy. Many have converted their Myvi to Passo, so why not a Justy. Hehehe...

One more thing to point out, the name does sound very familiar too. Haha.. Check out the below picture, Yeo's Justea. Justy & Justea... Hmmm.. Not a very nice name for a car.

Sharing is Caring, thanks Advertlets

Many of us would have heard this term "Sharing is Caring" but many would say is normally associated with jokes and humour, something which we normally don't take seriously. But this my fellow readers is the real stuff, the real deal, no sh*t.

I have seen many testimonials and there are really bloggers who are getting their cheques. I haven't got mine yet but I sure look forward in getting mine soon. Advertlets is sharing this great opportunity because they care and they care for us, the bloggers. The picture below speaks for itself, those lucky bloggers have just won themselves RM50 from Advertlets. Wished someone shared this earlier with me so I could get my hands on that RM50 too.

So I will share with you what my plans are once I get my hands on my very first cheque and how I intend to get it. In doing so, I'm hoping others will share with me how they get their cheques.

Here is my plan, instead of doing this stuff a single affair (solo), I'm getting my dearest darling to join in the fun as well (Sharing is Caring). Two blogs but one account, in theory that should help you generate more money and reach that cash out eligibility faster. We plan to put the money we get from Advertlets into our "Holiday-Savings Account". Once there is enough of money in the bank, we'll use it for our holiday getaways. We have been longing for a holiday to the beach for snorkeling, white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters.

So who says Sharing isn't caring? If we all start to share, the world will be a better place to live in.

I share with you, my readers, Advertlets.com - Blog Advertising in Asia!

Cute Sightings @ KL, Monday 10th of September

Monday, the start of the week and the start of a race towards Friday just like every other past Mondays before. Many of you would agree with me on this, that once we go to work on Mondays, we wished it was already Friday.

The first half of the day went by as usual, emails in the morning followed by numerous phone calls and then the usual paper work. Lunch time approaches without you realising how time passes you by effortlessly. My colleague came by my cubicle and with me still not realising what time it was, I naturally questioned "What can I do for you this time?", and she replied, "Oi, where to for lunch?", only then I realised it was half past 12 and time for lunch.

After a long discussion on where we would go for lunch, it was decided that we'll have it at Kim Gary in Sungei Wang. Upon reaching Sungei Wang, we spotted something cute and cuddly ahead. This was what we saw dancing and goofing around....

Bags, the practical item to accesories the look

Bags, you'll bound to see a woman carrying one. Why? Its because they've got lots to carry, their make up, organiser, hair comb, creams (hand, face, etc), and god knows what. However I think its also one of the best items to accessories a look (provided you match it well).

I believe we guys are starting to hitch on the bandwagon and why not? We got lots of stuff to carry around too. Myself as an example, I would probably carry along my Nikon D40 DSLR if I could, then theres my mobile phone, and my laptop. Currently I just bring a backpack and everybody knows it's not fashionable to carry around a backpack. So you've got to pack everything in a bag and still looks good.... I'd recommend Ted Baker bags, they've got nice semi-formal bags to rugged bags for everyday use. I just love that distinct English touches in its designs. Best of all, its not extremely priced, but expect to pay in the region of RM200 - 500.

Here are a few I picked to suit different taste and styling.

The Office:

Ted Baker's 'Doyers', its a nylon bag 100% polyester and fits all your daily office needs, laptop, documents, an apple iPod, your pda or mobile, and most probably a digital camera too. It's black in color, simple and neat. Just dump all those in and go out for that meeting.

My take on the Doyers bag; its for those who is on the go but would like to retain some sense of professionalism. Nothing that will shout, "Look at my nice bag" but then again will you want so much attention carrying those important documents and a laptop?

The Casual bag:

How many of us carry a mobile phone and probably a camera out when you go to the mall with your friends and even just by yourself? I would say the numbers are growing. Cargo pants is not the answer! They are things of the past and you definitely do not look cool wearing one with all those gadgets stuffed in all the pockets.

Guys remember that there is no shame in carrying a bag, especially if that bag is designed like this two, again by Ted Baker, 'Rigby' and 'Menace'.

Menace is a modern looking bag with a few compartments for that quick easy access. You've got two compartments in front which you can place your mobile phone/pda and your digital camera. You can also place your laptop in the main compartment.
For those who prefer a more rugged and casual look like myself, you may consider the 'Rigby'.

Its a canvas weekender bag with mocked leather trimmings, khaki in color and is just great to put your camera, laptop and mobile phone. I like this one very much and I think you'll never go out in style with this number. Great for those casual walks in the mall and also as a hand luggage when you go off for the weekend.

There you go, three great bags to store your daily stuff and look good while you're at it. I know there is a Ted Baker boutique in Bangsar, however I'm not sure if they have the bags I mentioned. If you spotted them elsewhere, let me know.

Apple's latest offerings (part 2)

The New iPod Nano

Apple Inc. just proudly released their new iPod nano. Continuing evolving its popular tiny gizmo, Apple have put together a nice package for the new nano. It now looks rather short and stout and the colors have gone rather soft (pro femine I'd say). It however houses a 320-by-240-pixel resolution at 204 pixels per inch on its 2-inch (diagonal) liquid crystal display with blue-white LED backlight.

This cute baby comes in two storage sizes, a 4gb and 8gb flash drive. The new iPod nano will allow you to play thousand of songs, watch your favourite videos, listen to audiobooks, play games, view & store your photos, store your contacts and there's even a calendar packed in there.

The new iPod nano will cost you USD$ 149 for the 4gb and USD$199 for the 8gb. Hmm.. very tempting. Christmas will be coming in 3 months time. Santa, I've been a good boy this year, Can I have the new iPod nano please?

Apple's latest offerings (part 1)

Apple iPod Touch

Apple inc. just launched its latest range of products and one of them is the Apple iPod Touch. Why touch you might ask? Well its simple, the folks at Apple have just combined the idea of an Ipod with that cool touch feature everyone is talking about on the iPhone and the result, Ipod Touch.
The iPod Touch resembles very much like the iPhone except it isn't a phone. Its your ordinary iPod with a twist. It houses a very nice 3.5 inch wide screen display so you can watch your videos and photos. It does what an iPod used to do, which is to play hordes of music stored in its 8gb or 16gb storage space. But now the guys at apple have ingeniously integrated a Wi-Fi to it, allowing you to web browse and watch those favourite videos on youtube, how cool is that?

And now the crunch time, how much to fork out for all those goodies packed in a nice slim cool looking device? The 8gb would cost you USD$299 and the 16gb, USD$399 (only 100 bucks difference for double the size, I'd say its a fair deal).

For us folks here in Malaysia, that will be about RM1,050 for the 8gb and RM1,400 for the 16gb (direct conversation base on current rates). However I doubt we'll get it at those prices, try topping that with another RM 200- 300 for taxes and absurd marketing strategies.

If you are persistent in getting it, then just head down to Singapore. It will be cheaper compared to Malaysia and you get to go for a holiday on top of that. *Please note traveling to Singapore and back will probably add up and costs the same if you had just got it here.

No worries in getting warranty issues, as owners can register their products online. So it doesn't matter where you purchased your iPod, as long you've purchased an authentic one from their authorised dealers.

Apple would you send me one for me to write a review on this? *fingers crossed.... tee hee

A new life, a new blog

Introduction (part 1)

This my friends is my brand new blog, I've got a brand new lease to life hence the brand new blog. I've torn the pages of my history and dumped the old blog. Nothing much to look back, instead there is so much to look forward now.

Previously my life was in a mess. For starters my then girlfriend broke off the 2 year relationship and not long later I resigned my first job back in 2005 due to bad management and a totally messed up working environment. The company (no intention to name the company, its not ethically professional if I did) owed me 7 months of my increment and gave tons of excuses, and mind you this is a one of the biggest conglomerate company in the country. Shameful ain't it?

Soon after quiting the company, I went to look for a new job and thought I was in luck as I was given an offer to manage the communication and public affairs of a small training company. Being a small company, I was relinquishing the challenges ahead however it wasn't as good as it sounded. I realised that the company wasn't really operating legally, so I called it quits before anything bad happened.

What worse could happen you say? My confident level drops to an all time low, debts are piling up cause I have not secured a job for a couple of months. I was so miserable and down that I do not trust my skills and abilities anymore.

Even with my confidence level at an all time low I knew I had to start getting a job soon and start paying off the accumulating debts. My luck begin to change when I realised I had to eat the humble pie and start from a humble begining. I found a job at Genting WorldCard as a Marketing Communication Executive. Being paid reasonably, but most importantly the working environment and nature of the work was great. I begin to learn so much from my superiors and fellow colleagues and soon my confident level starts to rise again.

6 months into my new life, my life took another turn but this time it wasn't bad luck.

Would like to know what happened next? Wait and watch this space for part 2 for my life transformation.
